My council isn't found, or it says "not supported yet"

The Rubbish App covers around 320 councils across the UK and Northern Ireland, but not every one yet. Email us the postcode and we'll look into adding it.

The bin dates look wrong, or a collection type has the wrong colour

Bin dates come straight from your council's own website, the same source you'd check yourself — so a wrong date is almost always the council's own system, not the app. If a bin type or colour looks off though, that's worth reporting — email us with the postcode and what you're seeing.

It couldn't find my address

Some councils only recognise an exact match for a house number or name (try the plain number, e.g. "10" rather than "10a" or "Flat 1", exactly as it appears on a council tax bill or piece of post). If it still won't find you, email us the postcode and address.

How do I change my saved address or reminder time?

Open the app and use Settings to update your postcode/address or reminder time, or remove your saved address entirely.

What data does the app store about me?

Just the postcode/address you give it and your reminder preference — no account, no password. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

How does billing work, and how do I cancel?

The Rubbish App is a subscription, billed through your Apple ID — we never see or handle your card details. To view, change or cancel it, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, and select The Rubbish App.
